Play
games online through Facebook or as popular on your desktop. These games have
become more and more popular and have come a long way since 'Snake' and
'Tetris', which were my favorite games in my childhood.
My
kids can play a lot of games now and it makes traveling easier (like playing
games during long trips) and they play games at home while learning the basics
of the computer. My first computer lesson was on a BBC computer, one for thirty
years. Now my Erin enjoys reading on both the iPad and the laptop. Blogging is
now even in the 5-year curriculum.
Erin
has been playing Star Stable for the past few weeks and it has quickly
established itself as a huge favorite game. Star Stable is an online horse
racing game where you can choose the horse of your choice, search for it and
groom it as well. Completing quests gives you money and experience, which means
you can access more The game is free to play up to four levels, then you can
subscribe monthly or you can buy a lifetime subscription. It allows you to be a
Star Rider.
The game may take a while to download, but once it's done, the graphics are good and you'll be entertained for hours. The game teaches many skills and as a mother and a teacher, this is what I like.
The
game has many fun and educational activities for your kids to enjoy including:
- Learn social skills and build strong relationships by chatting with friends and participating in athlete-created riding clubs.
- In a world that is constantly changing and expanding, we have to face challenges and solve problems.
- From the financial management of the virtual currency 'Star Coin' to developing a sense of responsibility to take care of their own horses.
- Star Stable encourages fiction reading and engagement: Star Stable stories are now 248,000 words long and bigger every week!
This is a great game if your girl is riding horses as a real
rider or just getting familiar with them to take care of a real horse just by
reading about or watching them. To me, this is the only way we can take a
horse!!

Some of our favorite updates…
Soul Riding with Rhiannon – We came up with one last game activity that allows
daring riders to take on a Soul Rider quest and, for the first time, allows
players to win a free exclusive horse, Run Runner.
Catherine’s Memories – We teamed up with Soul Rider Linder to
get rid of scenes from the life of Katherine Holbrooke, a young woman whose
fate was tied to the previous generation of Soul Riders.
Starshine Ranch – Carl Peterson and Josh welcome you to a new
and welcoming slice of cowboy living in Jorvik, where you can participate in
western activities and spend time with Lisa and Starshine.
Farah’s Workshop – We know
our players love creating in-game, and through Farah's workshop, we're
exploring how to make it happen in Star Stable. This is the foundation we want
to build.
Ydris’ Halloween
Masquerade – This
year has been one of our most ambitious Halloweens to date, with an epic story
event as fan-favorite prankster Idris takes over Galloper's Keep for two weeks
of thrills and chills. We'd love to see your hair-raising bike ride story.
And let’s not forget the horses!
The most popular breed this year, by the nose, was the new American Quarter Horse. With its signature rice and distinctive court gate, players fell in love with this incarnation of western riding. (Western fans can look forward to another favorite frontier species next year!) Zorvik Wild Horse marks the first time Star Stable has created a new breed from the dirt, and the love this loving friend has showered on the group has shown to be a success You will see much more of this species, in its natural environment, the rest of the Wildwoods will be exposed in the coming months.
When
Magic Horses came up with their transformation coats, your favorites this year
were the moon-inspired Ayla and Umbra. (For those of you who want more control
over when each quote appears, stay tuned for the good news!)
This year we have also greatly increased the variety of tack
options. The new Western Saddle pairs nicely with the new bridal and halter
options, including our more elaborate studded boots and the Beatless Hackamore
and brushed style. The Marwaris and Frisians have come up with new exclusive
bridal styles that will eventually find their way to other species.
First steps in a brand new area
It has been three years since the last new area, Mistfall, was opened for exploration. So it is with great anticipation that we launch the first part of a new territory: Wildwoods.
You've helped Rowan and the other new members of
the Jorvik Rangers, and you'll be working with them again soon. But the
Wildwoods are much bigger and unknown than the forest you've seen so far in
Star Stable. Early next year you'll cross the living bridge to experience a
wild new side of Zorvik.
A year we can all be proud of
Overall 2020 was a beautiful epic ride on Star Stable. And we couldn't have
done it without the courage and hard work of everyone involved, from engineers
to new players keeping the servers stable, our tireless customer service team
working diligently to resolve issues big and small, our amazing control professionals
quality Check out updates every Wednesday of the week, tons of creative
content, and a community team that creates engaging social stories to welcome
everyone, and more. We have an amazing team.
And amazing players! We love seeing photos and videos of your
favorite horse, your club, and your achievements. This year you've shared more
base art than ever, and more and more players are sharing their MC and horse
stories. Through your creativity, Jorvik comes to life. We are inspired by your
imagination.
Ten years of Star Stable
2021 marks the 10th year for Star Stable to bring you horses and adventures. 10
years! We can't be too excited about the future of Star Stable and we're
working hard to ensure a year to remember this. So what else do we have to cook
for next year?
First,
in January, we were excited to share our first Mistfall animated offering. The
10-episode preview series is available for free and tells an all-new story of a
girl's journey to Jorvik, introducing some familiar faces and voices along the
way.
We
are working hard for the worldwide release of Star Stable on mobile devices.
This is not a new game. This is the same Star Stable you know and love on PC,
on your phone! Same account, the same collection of horses, same beautiful Zorvik
to explore with friends. Currently, in closed beta in Australia, game testers
are helping us fix bugs while our engineers take on the enormous challenge of
preparing for a global release.
There's a lot more work behind the scenes that you don't see in
the weekly updates. Star Stable is a nearly 10-year-old game that has grown far
beyond its founders' imagination. We want to make sure Jorvik survives another
10 years and can keep up with your needs and the ever-changing gaming
landscape. This means there is a lot of work to be done with the tools and
technologies we are now investing in to ensure a stable future.
That
base-fixing work also applies to our game system. Upgrading an old, clunky
system may not be as exciting as new content, but we think it's important to
improve the things you do every day. Our goal is to make it easier for you to
do the things you want to do A more intuitive and rewarding Jorvik that puts
your relationship with your horses front and center - that's our goal.
There's
a big racing milestone coming up that we can't wait to celebrate with you! The race is one of the main ways you can play Star Stable every day and we want to
improve the authenticity and options you will find and make racing more
productive.
Reflecting
on the important role Zorvik as a virtual world plays in maintaining true human
bonds with friends, we look at the role of riding clubs and how to enhance that
experience for everyone.
Facing history, there are great things in our work. The
villainous Dark Riders will eventually steal the spotlight. (They were teased
last year, but we're serious this time!) In addition to some visual brilliance,
he'll get to know these characters more closely than ever before.
Finally, and most importantly, we look at the player model again. An avatar that reveals who you want to be is a very important part of joining a virtual world like Star Stable. We recognize how limited current incarnations are.
They do not reflect our values or the
diversity of our players. We listen to you when you tell us how important it is
and we totally agree. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we
embark on this journey and look forward to your thoughtful feedback on the
process when we are ready to share. Updating avatars is one of our biggest
challenges, but we're committed to getting it right.
There is much more to work on, but we
need to save things to share in the coming months for our amazing community
team! And we are still finding a way forward. 2020 has changed us all for
better and for worse. We are leaning towards that change, with a strong team
finishing the year committed to ensuring the best is yet to come. Thanks for
joining me on the journey.
